What's it all about?

Rubbish! Yes, that's what this site is all about. I got it, you got it - but, as my mum always said, it's what you do with what you got that counts. So this site is about changing your attitude about garbage. To take a look at common, household trash and view it as a valuable resource rather than, well, something to throw out. Really, I'm talking about the rehabilitation of rubbish.

Who's this site for, anyway?

It's aimed at parents, kids, seniors, teachers, community development workers--well, anyone-- who cares about waste reduction, reusing what we have, and wanting to have a little fun in the process. It's for anyone who wants to save money, develop new skills, and explore alternative options to our throwaway societal attitudes, and, yes, maybe to save to world. 

Save money and have a little fun! 

All of the projects posted, whether mine or someone else’s, emphasize the use of recycled, salvaged and/or re-purposed supplies to reinforce the message that waste is preventable and you don't need a lot of cash to have a lot of style.
