Scotland bound - again!

Posted on April 28, 2014 at 9:20 AM

I'm leaving for Scotland tomorrow morning and am in a bit of a tizzy today. You'd expect me to be blasé about getting ready to go but no such luck. I am renting out my home and that means getting things sorted, tidied and organized for my tenant. And boy do I have to be creative. My storage area and the one hallway closet I've reserved for myself in the flat are groaning under the weight of my things. I've also had to rearrange the furniture for my tenant. Next time I post it will be from Edinburgh (which as you can see above, is an exceptionnally polite city).

Thanks for the info, Matilddaa. This notice, by the way, was posted on a fence right on Leith Walk.

Actually the Police used to put 'Police Notice' at the bottom of some of their signs, so private citizens who didn't want anyone to park outside their properties, did a sort of 'play on words', substituting polite for police so it's nothing to do with courtesy. Those who nail them to their fences in my street are certainly not polite when they harangue drivers who dare to flout their 'polite notice'!
