If you've got a couple of old cheese graters, why not recycle them into these pretty tea light shades. All you to do is plop the grater over a tea light and you're done. If the grater is rusty, sand it with a piece of fine sand paper and then wipe with a damp cloth. You can also paint the grater if you will be leaving it outside to avoid further rusting. If you have a few of these, they would look very attractive lining a pathway or a patio floor.
Cautionary Notes:
NEVER pick up a cheese grater by the handle if there's a lit candle inside. It becomes very hot quickly. Instead, extinguish the candle first and let the grater cool.
Keep AWAY from children and pets!!
Never, ever leave lit candles unattended.

The Conran shop is selling a whimsical cheese grater light. If you want to make one out of your cheese grater, Instructables has the instructions for repurposing a colander into a lamp shade that can easily be used for the cheese grater.
